PG Recreation: Day #19 – HQ vs. Command Room, PSA vs. EPF?

Hey guys! Its Powerflare. This post is actually mostly about the new changes to Club Penguin and how they are going to relate to Penguin Generation. The Iceberg sneak peek is having a few touch-ups, but I’m not totally sure I like the way it turned out. I also got a new video game so I’ve been playing it a lot… I will be back on track soon. Summer’s almost here which will be great for PG!

Anyways, I wanted to talk to you about two different things: HQ/Command Room and PSA/EPF. For those who don’t know what EPF is, I envy you, actually, because today would be a big surprise on Club Penguin for me. But its not, though its cool. Anyways, Club Penguin veterans and even newbies that are at least 30 days old have probably experienced the Penguin Secret Agency, commonly called the PSA. It is ultimately ruled by the “Director”, but you’ll be reporting to Gary the Gadget Guy, or just Gary (codename: G). There are 11 PSA missions to take part in, but some are only unlocked after completing previous missions due to a certain story element. You are able to receive prizes and awards for completing them—the latest actually being a clothing item you can wear, Spy Glasses. :) To become a secret agent, you’d have to click the Moderator symbol (the “M” in the upper-right hand corner) and take a quick quiz. After giving the obvious answers, you’d be accepted. You would receive a special Spy Phone, with (lame) gadgets and a teleportation feature. You could also visit the Headquarters, or HQ, located in the Sports Shop (behind the curtain that is furthest from your screen).

But about a year ago, a video game for the Nintendo DS was released called “Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force” which introduced the more secretive Elite Penguin Force, or EPF. The EPF is a top-secret agency that you didn’t really have to know anything about if you lightly (mildly, without much care) played Club Penguin, didn’t see anything in stores, hear about the game, or read any websites. When the game was released, a secret cabinet was placed in the HQ that lead to the Command Room. The Command Room was basically the HQ for the EPF. Unfortunately, you couldn’t really do anything there, but it was cool. You’d access it by first buying the video game and retrieving the special code from the game box. When putting that code into Club Penguin, you would get:

  • 1,500 coins
  • Spy Phone (if you were not a PSA agent already, you’d become one; if you were already one, well then it didn’t matter)
  • Elite Penguin Force Certificate (found with the rest of your awards)
  • Access to the Command Room

However, today, a lot of things changed. This is revolutionary. Actually, I should back up. At the end of the final PSA mission, The Veggie Villain, Herbert destroyed the PSA (and the Sports Shop) with a Popcorn bomb. Dot, from the EPF, rescues you—this “publicly” announces the EPF… kinda.. well, the news is let out anyway (to PSA agents which pretty much everyone is…). Later, the HQ room was destroyed (on CP, outside of the mission) along with the Sports Shop. Even more recently, the Sports Shop was closed. Today, the HQ closed as well, and there is nothing left. The new “Everyday Phoning Facility” (oh yeah, really clever cover-up! Way to go CP! EPF isn’t so secret anymore!). Now, you can actually take a test (easy, but way more fun and much different than the PSA test) to become an official EPF agent, access the new Command Room and everything. There’s a real EPF Spy Phone (Elite Spy Phone), though some features aren’t active yet. Still…

Well, this is just so I can see what people really like. Regardless, the changes will be applied and accounted for in the “Next Generation” of PG. However, the destroyed HQ will be accessable.. somehow… That’s confirmed as of now, but things may change to bring the PSA back (maybe it will be rebuilt?). Stay tuned for more information.

  1. i think you guys should make the secret agent stuff really secret in PG. And Really hard to get in.

  2. Wow! 10 people voted the new EPF and only 3 for the old PSA? Must be a lot of new CP people here and not a lot of people from old CP…

  3. Yeah, Jordan, we really want to make the Secret Agent stuff awesome and top secret in Penguin Generation. I think what is gonna eventually happen is that the Sport Shop will be rebuilt along with the PSA. Behind the one curtain, there will be a door that says “Shop Staff Only,” but of course, that will be the entrance into the PSA which will be difficult to get into. The EPF will be unspoken. Literally. However, it will be interestingly active, and PSA will take its credit whenever they do something. The EPF will be very hard to get in, and you will probably have to be 6 months old on PG. None of this is guaranteed, but likely.

  4. ARE ALL OF U PEOPLE CRAZY!!!! the EPF was a secret organization!!!If only you had the game you could get in!!!!!!I mean now that game is beatable in a day and its just a peice of crap!!!! Where is the sport shop catalog too! I mean that was a good catalog. PSA Rulez (i was an epf agent anyway in the old room but this is stupid!

  5. I cannot see how so many people voted the new EPF… The Sports catalog is at the Stadium (a.k.a. Soccer Pitch/Ice Rink)
